Going Beyond Boundaries...

EXHIBITION #4: THE CRY 'IN COLOUR'

PAINTING # 30:  WHEN SILENCE SPEAKS

"Help us in our time of need." - Hebrew 4:16

.

'When Silence Speaks'   by  Alton Felix. 2015/21.  Acrylic on canvass.

Artist's Commentary:

The spirit of poverty knows no colour. Here it is fed by the absent father who forsook his responsibility to feed his own family.

Now they sit and share a silent thought on the only thing  that provides some support to their frail bodies.

Silence says sorry for bringing you into this world to suffer.

Silence says I ate less so you could have eaten more.

Silence says all that's left to do  is to pray to God who still sees two beautiful souls.

Be blessed.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father,

Have mercy on  us! Help us in our time of need. In spite of these hard times, show Yourself to be my Provider and Protector. Honour Your Word which says that You will never forsake us nor leave us. You said that we are more precious than the birds of the air and the lilies in the fields.

Strengthen my faith so I can be a beacon of hope for my family. Let me not be anxious about what we shall eat or drink,  or what we shall wear. For all these things You know that we have need of.

Give me the grace to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, and all these things shall be my portion. As I step out in faith and obedience to Your Word, I thank You for divine appointments and favour. I break every curse of poverty and lack over my life!

I declare the blessings of the Lord upon me and my family. Whatsoever I do shall prosper. Thank You for making a way, and for showing Yourself bigger than my problems. You deserve all the honour and glory.

Thank You, O Lord, for answering my cry. In Jesus’ name I pray with thanksgiving. Amen.
