EXHIBITION #1: STEPS TO SALVATION
STEP SEVEN : I MUST BELIEVE AND BY FAITH RECEIVE JESUS AS MY LORD AND SAVIOUR.
PAINTING #12: ' LEAD ME, LORD.'
"The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?"

'Lead Me, Lord!' by Alton Felix. 2019. Acrylic on Canvas . 38 cm x 38 cm.
Artist's Commentary:
The painting reminds me of the waves of life which can be rough, unpredictable and non-forgiving. The old man - a symbol of experience and wisdom - is still standing and walking tall amidst life's raging storms. His secret?
"I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread." - Psalm 37:25
To be counted among the righteous he remembers Psalm 27:1 which says:
"The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?"
If Jesus is my Lord, whom or what shall I fear?
The old man is still purpose-driven as his steps, in spite of the raging waters, are still ordered by the Lord.
This is my interpretation of the painting. What is yours?
All honour and glory belong to God, and His Son Jesus! Be blessed.
