EXHIBITION #2: NATURE'S PEACE....BE STILL!
PAINTING # 14: ' HIS EYES'

'His Eyes' by Alton Felix. 1991. Acrylic on canvas . 16 in. x 20 in.
Artist's Commentary:
This 27-year old painting entitled "His Eyes" reminds me of the eyes of God that look upon the righteous, and His ears that hears their prayers. At the right time, God will fight for us and deliver us from the hands of our enemies. 1 Peter 3:12 (ESV) states:
After we pray, we need to release our battles over to God, and allow Him to take charge. Victory is certain for Jesus is our Lion of the tribe of Judah who is always victorious in battle. Revelation 5:5 says:
"Weep not; lo, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered."
The first verse of the song "Peace" by Sherri Youngward is so appropriate here:
"Peace, be still
Lay all your worries down
Be still, oh my soul
For our God, is in control"
Nature, too, can be a great teacher...The calmness of the lion's demeanour should not go unnoticed.
'Peace. Be still. God is in control.'
All honour and glory belong to God, and His Son Jesus! Be blessed.
