EXHIBITION #2: NATURE'S PEACE....BE STILL!
PAINTING #18: 'HILLTOP '
" 6 The sun shall not smite me by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord shall preserve me from all evil: he shall preserve my soul."

'Hilltop' by Alton Felix. 2018. Mixed Media on Paper . 31 cm x 23 cm.
Artist's Commentary:
The painting gives me a sneak peek into the majesty of God with His towering mountains in the background. He is an omnipotent God, who causes me to triumph over ever 'mountain' in my life. Psalm 121 pays homage to His name, His goodness and His mercy towards sinful man that I am, and whom He loves unconditionally:
" 1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
3 He will not suffer my foot to be moved: he that keepeth me will not slumber." - Psalm 121 (Edited) (KJV)
Let us not be distracted by the crashing waves that toss us to and fro as we wrestle to keep our heads above the raging waters. Nor should the 'thorns' and the 'rocks' that seek to hurt us cause us to become bitter and lose hope. Instead, let's raise our eyes in faith and gaze upon the hills from whence cometh our help. In spite of how circumstances may seem, God is still in control. Peace, be still.
All honour and glory belong to God, and His Son Jesus! Be blessed.

MY PRAYER
" ' 1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
3 He will not suffer my foot to be moved: he that keepeth me will not slumber.
4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is my keeper: the Lord is my shade upon my right hand.
6 The sun shall not smite me by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord shall preserve me from all evil: he shall preserve my soul.
8 The Lord shall preserve my going out and my coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.'
In Jesus' name I pray with thanksgiving. Amen. "VISITORS
