ART OF PRAYER #11: WHY WORRY?
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your Word which brings comfort and hope to me. At times, I find myself worrying about life’s issues. Today, I obey Your Word in Matthew 6:25:
25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on.”
Lord, I recognize that “life is more than food and the body more than clothing.” (verse 25)
I turn to nature, and see how You provide for Your creation. Jesus said
“ 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” (verse 26)
Lord I see how You “clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven.” (verse 30).
According to Your Word, I am more precious to You than the birds and the grass, and I believe that You will take care of me.
Strengthen my faith, O Lord, so that I may continue to hold on to Your promises, and trust You in every situation.
Help me not to lose hope, and to only hear Your voice concerning my situation.
I thank You, O Lord, for answered prayers. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
